Frequently asked questions and terms of service
Do you make cowboy boots?
Not yet. Boots are on the horizon, but for now I’m focused on other gear.
What can you make?
Just about anything. I’ve built simple everyday pieces like belts and wallets, all the way up to more complex work like arrow quivers and shoulder holsters. If it can be made from leather, chances are I can craft it. Please send me a message and ask.
What kinds of leather do you work with?
Plenty. I work with the classics, but I also handle exotics like stingray, bison, ostrich, snake, and even capybara. If you’ve got something particular in mind, we can talk it through.
How long does it take to make a piece?
That depends on the size of the project, the details involved, and the type of leather. Every piece is built by hand, so it takes a little time. Once we’ve talked through the design, I can give you a rough estimate.
Do you do tooling?
You bet I do.
Terms of Service
Payment & Deposits
To get started on a custom piece, I ask for a 50% deposit up front. This covers the materials and locks in your spot. The rest is due before your order ships or is picked up.
Cancellations & Refunds
Because every custom order is made just for you, deposits are non-refundable once I’ve started. Ready-to-ship items (not custom) can be returned within 7 days once delivered, if unused. You’ll just cover return shipping.
Turnaround Time
Most custom orders take 1–5 weeks depending on complexity and current workload. Need it faster? Message me, I can sometimes take rush orders for an extra fee.
Shipping
I ship everything with tracking and insurance so your piece is protected. If a package gets lost or damaged, let me know right away so I can help file a claim. For international orders, please note that any import taxes or customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility.
Warranty & Repairs
Every item is made to last. I stand behind my work with a 1-year guarantee on stitching, hardware, and construction. Normal wear and tear (or accidental damage) isn’t covered, but I’m always happy to discuss repairs at a fair rate.
Leather Care
Leather is a natural material, which means every piece has its own marks, character, and patina. To keep it looking sharp:
Keep it away from water and harsh chemicals.
Don’t leave it in extreme heat (like a hot car).
Condition it occasionally with a good leather balm.
California’s exotic leather restrictions
Some exotic leathers are banned for sale or shipment to California including (but not limited to) alligator, crocodile, caiman, kangaroo, and a few others. If you live in California, it’s your responsibility to know what materials are legal where you hang your hat. I will not ship restricted leathers into California under any circumstance.
Leather Sourcing & Legality
All leather and hides used in my work are legally obtained and sourced from suppliers approved by U.S. and foreign authorities. Whether it’s classic cowhide, bison, or exotic hides like ostrich or snake, every piece meets all local, federal, and international regulations. You can be confident that your custom leather piece is not only handcrafted with care but also fully compliant with the law.
Holsters
Firearm Fit
Holsters are crafted to fit specific makes and models. When ordering, please provide the exact firearm details (make, model, barrel length, etc.).
I do not accept firearms shipped to me. A safe, accurate mold will be used for fitting.
Safety
These holsters are made for civilian use only.
Always check that your firearm is unloaded before testing fit.
The customer is responsible for safe handling and use of their firearm at all times.
Care & Inspection
Leather is tough, but it’s still a natural material. Heat, moisture, and regular use can cause it to stretch or warp over time. It’s important to inspect your holster regularly to make sure it still holds your firearm safely and securely. If you notice looseness, warping, or anything that could affect retention, stop using the holster immediately and contact me about repair or replacement options.
Legal Notice
It is your responsibility to know and follow all local, state, and federal laws regarding firearm ownership and carry.
I am not responsible for any misuse, accidents, or legal issues arising from the use of a holster I create.
Liability
By purchasing a holster, you acknowledge that:
The holster is intended only for the firearm it was built for.
The maker assumes no responsibility for injury, damage, or legal consequences resulting from improper use.
You accept full responsibility for safe handling, carrying, storage, and regular inspection of your firearm and holster.
